We’re screening fan films at A-Kon® TV HQ. We’re looking for new things to show this year so that we’re not showing the same old things. We’ll also try to film some new stuff at the Kon this year. Stay tuned!

THIS IS EXACTLY THE KIND OF THING THAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR!!!

If only we’d had this when Shinchiro Watanabe was a guest at A-Kon.

This year (A-Kon® 20) A-Kon® TV will be shooting in high definition wherever possible.  We will also have the ability to film things against a green screen so that we can add an appropriate background to them at a later time.  We’ll explore the possibilities that it will bring us together.   Staff, friends, we’re all a part of this.

*Submissions may be made on miniDV tape or DVD or may be uploaded to our website.  Submissions made to the website will not be available for viewing and will be retrievable only by the website administrator.

*Tapes and DVDs must be postmarked no later than 3/01/10 to be considered for showing on A-kon® TV at A-kon® 21.

*Submitting content is not a guarantee of its airing on A-kon® TV.

*Please do not submit any work that is longer than 2 hours.

UNLESS

If your submission is more than 2 hours long, please break it into 25 minute episodes (at most) of a series.  This makes longer works much easier to work with when scheduling them.

*Do not mail us your only copy as we will not be returning your tape/DVD.

*By submitting your tape to A-kon® TV, you are giving us permission to show your work on the closed TV channel and the A-kon® DVD and to edit your work as we see fit to use for promos, clips, cover art, etc and you further understand that by voluntarily submitting your work to us that you will not receive compensation for your contribution.

*If we do air your program on A-Kon® TV you will receive full credit, so be sure to do a proper credit reel at the end of your program.  We will not alter credit reels in any way.

*Akon® TV staff will be screening submissions.  Entries that are not suitable for all audiences may be shown on the overnight schedule.  Questionable material may be edited to make it suitable for airing or may not be shown at all.

*PO Box info and upload info will be posted as soon as it becomes available.

I want to thank all of our content providers for letting us show their great stuff. We had a great time screening all of their stuff to make sure that it was what we wanted to show and that they’d give us permission to show it.

The Big Honkin gave us permission to use The Defenders of Stan.

Blinky Productions gave us the Power Girl films, and the Catwoman films.

Stranger Things TV gave us the Sacred Cow film, as well as others.

BraxtanFilm gave us the Return of the Ghostbusters, Freddy vs. the Ghostbusters and more.

Ask A Ninja, of course, provided the kick-ass Ask A Ninja Podcast.

Hidden Frontier provided hours and hours of original Star Trek Universe material. They’ve made over SEVEN seasons of their shows.

Tony Brownrigg provided us with the Red Victoria Trailer. We recently watched the copy of the movie that we purchased at the Kon and highly recommend it.

The Guild we found as a podcast, and hope that they aren’t angry that we showed them. We really like their stuff and hope that you did too, and will donate to get them to make more episodes.

Cherub, The Vampire with Bunny Slippers was one we happened upon that was exactly what we were looking for.
